ICON National Completes 450 Units for California’s Homekey Project

PHOENIX, Ariz. (07.04.2024.)ICON National, a leader in construction solutions for the occupied renovation of affordable multifamily and senior housing communities, recently announced that they have completed 450 units of affordable living in California in light of the state’s Homekey initiative to grow housing options for the unhoused.

The statewide effort aims to expand housing for persons experiencing homelessness, or at risk of housing insecurity, by creating permanent or interim housing options through the development or renovation of hotels, motels, vacant apartment buildings and other properties. As industry leaders in occupied affordable housing renovations, ICON National recognizes the impact these projects have on the community, making the company a supporter of the cause.

Thus far, the construction solutions firm has contributed to six projects to the Homekey initiative, totaling 450 liveable units. The projects, their respective locations and units include:

  • Casa Alient, Oxnard, Calif. – 70 units
  • Aviation (LAX Suites), Inglewood, Calif. – 48 units
  • Motel 6 Phase I, Costa Mesa, Calif. – 44 units
  • Tahiti Inn Phase II, Stanton, Calif. – 77 units
  • Stanton Motel Phase II, Staton, Calif. – 77 units
  • Hillview Court Phase II, Mlipetas, Calif. – 134 units

These developments are expected to increase the amount of affordable housing in the area, helping many individuals meet their basic needs without compromising on quality.
