Project engineer

National (Based in Scottsdale, AZ)

Reports to: Project Executive

The Project Engineer works within the Project Management team to ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget, and on schedule. The Project Engineer is responsible for the document control for each project to include Meeting Minutes, Change Orders, RFIs, and Submittals. Reports to the Senior Project Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in day-to-day tasks throughout the construction process.
  • Assist in the preparation of pre-construction documentation for tenant meetings and subcontractor preconstruction meetings.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track RFIs and maintain related logs and files.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track Submittals and maintain related logs and files.
  • Prepare and track Change Order Requests to the owners.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track Subcontractor Change Orders.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Record, compile and distribute OAC Meeting Minutes, and other meetings as necessary.
  • Upload project documentation in OneDrive.
  • Assist the Project Manager with weekly updates to the owner.
  • Assist in the project closeout process by gathering and tracking documentation as required by project ownership and other stakeholders.
  • Gather and submit information for energy rebate programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical abilities are required.
  • Strong communication skills are required for this position. This role involves interacting with a variety of team members, subcontractors, architects, and owners.
  • Ability to travel to project locations.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Excel, MS Project, and construction project management software.
  • Have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
